6th Grade Art

Tuesday: Start Shading Unit Part 3: Shading Forms Assignment
- Complete the Day 1 Activity
Thursday: Continue Shading Forms Assignment
- Complete Day 2, Part 1 Activity (click on the link above and scroll to the bottom).
- Turn in images of your grids on your daily image assignment. ;-)

8th Grade Art

Monday: Submit Mandala Project
Wednesday: Mandala Critique- instructions will be given in class
1. Make sure you have something turned in for the Mandala Project
2. Click on the "critique" link above. Watch and take notes on both critique videos. Turn notes in for daily progress image.
3. Use the critique handout to guide your comment on 2 peer's Mandala Projects in canvas. Recommend writing it in a google doc then you can just copy and paste it into the comment.

- NOTE: Pushed turn in date to Friday Finish Shattered Shading Project (Due at end of class)
- Turn in an image of your project AND Shading notes/practice from the videos shown last week to the Canvas Assignment)

- Moved to next week Intro Form Shading Project (Due TBD- after fall break)
- If you are finished early- watch the videos added to part 2 or try doing the activity in the video posted in Part 3

- Mandala Project Work day 4/5- should be working on inking and finalizing linework, maybe start adding some extra details, start on polishing and adding color. Remember you have one more day in class to work on this project ;-)

- Start Cup 2 Planning- read all the stuff for the project, creative process, watch the video and start the worksheet linked there too- it doesn't need to be finished. We'll do that next time. You'll find everything you need by clicking on the "Click here" link above and scrolling down to the Cup 2 stuff ;-)

- Finish planing and start making cup 2 (will be due 11/23 & 11/24)

What to expect this week
6th Grade Art

Monday - Last day to submit your Elements Booklet during class
- Almost all of the Booklets turned in were not submitted following the directions on the assignment. Here are videos to help you through the process.

- Note about Mandala Project- it will take a few weeks to complete and will do some mini lessons mixed in. This is a great project for your NWSA Audition Portfolio because it shows how you're utilizing the design process beginning to end!

- Pitch your Project idea- be ready to share your idea in small groups to help crowd-source for improving and refining your design.
