Monday - No School (teacher workday)
3D Art Classes: Art Show Entries must be physically turned in no later than Thursday 4pm.
Friday: I will be out for some district training- all work will be linked below, no SEL passes today.

A1/A2 Ceramics Beginning

Tuesday: Glazing day (can use any extra time for Coil Project if needed)
- Must have project glazed today if it's going in the student art show
- Work on finishing Coil Project or start on Shape Unit
Thursday: Continue Shape Unit and take projects up to gallery

A3 Sculpture IPA- Paper Project 2 Planning

Tuesday: Book Nook Project work day 4/8
Thursday: Book Nook Project work day 5/8
- If you want your Book Nook in the School Art Show must turn it in at end of class today.

B1 Metals/Fibers IPA-Big Book Project

Wednesday: Big Book Project work day 4/5
Friday: Big Book Project work day 5/5 (can work on over the weekend but turn in at end of class if you want it to go in the school art show)

Last day for LATE/RGRADE work for my classes: This Tuesday 10/25
- Everything posted in Canvas through this week will be counted towards Q1 grades
- Check to make sure individual Canvas and PowerScores match if they don't let me know asap! Overall Grade is ONLY Calculated correctly in PowerSchool.
NWSA Fall Art Showcase: everyone must have submission for the show
- Everyone can submit up to 2 works (one must be a project made during class) Must be submitted in person by end of week.
- Ceramics: be ready to glaze work at the end of this week- we'll finalize your entries next week
- 8th Grade: Entries due by end of day Friday

General Announcements

Reminder Last Day for LATE/REGRADE work is Tuesday October 25th. This is a firm deadline. I need to have grades for Q1 finalized by Thursday this time around, so I can't accept anything after that date!
Tuesday 10/18 College Career Fair- must have resume and be in business attire to be able to attend- click link for more expectations and info.
I'll be out Tuesday 10/18: All B-Day classes check Canvas for assignment. All other work will be pushed back a day ;-)

Monday: Practice Coil Project due by end of class (we'll load them into the kiln wet so they can dry in the kiln before firing) if you're absent you'll need to just put your project on the shelves to dry instead.
Wednesday: Coil Project Planning 2 due by end of class next time at the latest but can start on building as soon as planning is done .

General Announcements

Visual Art Majors: you have until the end of the week to bring overall grade in PowerSchool up to at least a 65% by Friday. If you don't we'll start the PEP process with Mr. Nagel next week to help you get back on track. Remember if you fail any major classes, you will be sent back to your home school.

Wednesday 10/12 is PSAT test day for all 10th and 11th grade. Everyone not taking the test will stay in homeroom for entire testing time. There will be a modified schedule afterwords. Modified Schedule for PSAT

Thursday: Coil Practice Project due by end of class (hand to Ms. Schmit- she'll load them into the kiln to finish drying)

A3 Sculpture IPA

Tuesday- Experiment with Little Bits (will need help setting up sets)
Thursday- Explore Paper Project 2 requirements; have planning ready by beginning of next class.

B1 Metals/Fibers IPA

Monday: Fix your grade day - check canvas and get all work submitted asap; if you are all caught up try making some additional book structures from the U of U Book Arts Site
Wednesday: Watch Nerd Forge Book Video- take notes on creative process
Friday: Start Big Book Project

B2 8th Grade Art

Monday: Finish up Brain Rewiring Planning and Get all assignments posted in Canvas turned in (even if incomplete)
