Week 16 12/12-12/19

IF we have full remote learning day Monday- I'll update info here for work and expectations- they will be posted bold and in red!
Midterm Exams: All Classes be ready for Midterm Reviews' when we get back from break.
Grades: All grades should be updated and synced with PowerSchool by the end of the day Wednesday. If you notice anything not matching let me know asap.
Winter Break- use that time to get assignments caught up, grades fixed, etc. There won't be much time for that when we get back. Note I don't check email or messages over the break. If you get stuck, just do your best to work through the problem on your own (re-read directions, look at examples, re-read assignment descriptions in canvas- everything you need to answer any questions is usually in one of those places)

A1/A2 Ceramics Beginning- Shape and Form Unit

Monday: 2nd 3D Tile Mural- Refine Forms and clean up craftsmanship
Wednesday: 2nd 3D Tile Mural- Complete by end of class
Friday: Free-General Work Day to catch up on any class work or make a small free project by end of class. All clay projects must be ready to be fired by end of class or will be too dry to work with after the break.

A3 Sculpture IPA- Wire Unit

Reminder-Check Canvas for Rehearse and Perform assignments that have been added since last week.
Tuesday: Start Wire Sculpting Unit
Thursday: Continue Wire Sculpting Unit

B1 Metals/Fibers IPA- Fiber Arts Coaster Experiment Unit Big Fiber Arts Project Unit

Note: Big Fiber Arts Project will be due Thursday January 12th
Tuesday: First Official full day for Planning for Big Fiber Arts Project
Thursday: First official full work day for Big Fiber Arts Project
Monday: Continue with Big Fiber Arts Project Unit - Note be ready for a Rehearse Progress Assignment the week back from Winter Break.

B2 8th Grade Art- Value Unit , Face Unit

Note: Shattered Value project is due by the end of the week. You can use one class work day to work on it if you'd like or work on it at home, either way it's still due at the end of the week.
Monday - Friday: Continue working on Face Unit. Should be done with all parts of the face by the end of class Friday. Be ready to submit this assignment using a template at the beginning of class Tuesday next week.
Tuesday: Fill out and Submit Face Unit Template for Rehearse assignment on Canvas.
Thursday: The Art of the Selfie Article, Self Portrait Project Demo, start project will be Due Jan 10th.

B4 Ceramics IPA- IPA 3D Tile Project

Monday: Develop design for a Bas Relief (3D) Tile mural Project and submit Rehearse assignment using the template by the end of class today.
Wednesday: Have tiles and image traced into project by end of class.
Friday: Have main forms blocked in by end of class.

Tuesday December 6th: PreACT exam for all 10th Grade Students
Progress Reports: grades will be updated in Canvas and synced to Powerschool Thursday and Friday for my classes. Assignment Scores should match between the two programs but the Overall Grade is only calculated accurately in PowerSchool. If you would like a print out of your progress report or have any questions/concerns about grades please email me.
Reminder about Absences: all work is posted here, and most of it can be completed outside of class (may need to get creative with supplies- but that's cool with me:-). Every Hour of work time you make up take a picture and add it to the daily work assignment you missed in Canvas. If those assignments lock then it's too late to turn them in for credit. If you're out for more than a week or get really far behind, just email me and we can come up with a better plan of getting you caught up ;-).
