keep track of them, if you participate with it. Everyone who participates will get something from Ms. Schmit at the end of the month but people who complete all days will get a special prize as well!

Classwork

A1/A2 Ceramics Beginning

Tuesday: Submit Texture Box Unit Template on Canvas, start working on Line Booklet (Notes for all EoA)- it's homework if you don't get it done ;-) ***Have clay ready to work with for next class!
Thursday: Coil Building Demo, complete practice coil project - make something at least 3"wide x 5" tall (due by end of next class)

A3 Sculpture IPA

Tuesday: Last day to work on Paper Project Pitch
Thursday: Pitch Paper Projects -click on link and look for Pitch Day instructions (small groups for everyone present, if absent be ready to present to the everyone the day you get back)

B1 AP Art History

Monday: Unit 1 and 2 Debrief- going over results of exams, what went well, what and how to improve test taking skills, Writings Workshop.
Wednesdays: Start Unit 3 - 3.1 Notes
Friday: 3.2 Notes

B2 8th Grade Art

Monday: Intro Collaborative Mural Grid Project and start work.
Wednesdays: Complete linework and finalize in Black ink by end of class
Friday: Complete Shading Worksheet and start Shattered Shading component of Mural project by end of next class.

B4 Ceramics IPA

Monday: Last Work Day for Project- be ready to submit template by beginning of next class
- Contrast Container Submission Template
- Texture Box Unit Template (submit whatever booklet you did instead of the texture one)
Wednesdays: Submit Complete Project template on Canvas, Intro IPA Coil Unit, have Practice Project done by end of next class. Create your own Google Slides Presentation and Copy/paste the Slides up to "Stop Here". PDF of presentation so far
Friday: Complete Practice Project by end of class.

Wednesday: Finishing steps for Texture Box (cut off lid, clean up interior joints and mouth of lid/body, add lip, clean up/refine/add texture around box.
Friday: How to sign your work, your name 100 different ways assignment, and final prepping for firing project. Submit Texture Box Unit Template on Canvas Assignment

A3 Sculpture IPA

Wednesday: Practice more targeted Paper Sculpting Skills
- Moon and Starts ; Tunnel Book
Friday: Main Paper Project Brief, display practice projects, start planning process. Be ready to "pitch" your project ideas by the end of next class.

B1 AP Art History

Tuesday: Finish up Unit 2 Notes, Unit 1-2 Exam Study Guide, APAH Unit Review Info Sheet, Review for Exam
Thursday: Unit 1 and 2 Exam - Look for "Progress Checks" in AP Classroom. Complete All Progress Checks. Unit 1 and Unit 2 MCQ progress checks will count as the exam scores. The other progress checks are to evaluate current writing skills- complete them during exam time and self evaluate them on AP Classroom before next class. Remember you can retake exams until cut off for Q1 grades but recomend checking in with Ms. Schmit to review material first.

B2 8th Grade Art

Tuesday: Finish Wizard Drawing 2 and submit Right-Left Brain Unit Template on Canvas assignment
Thursdays:Grid Drawing Worksheet (Skull Dude) Submit Right/Left Brain Unit Template- link is on Canvas Assignment ;-).

B4 Ceramics IPA

Tuesday: Project work day 3/5 (texture box people, you're about 1 day behind Ceramics Beginning- be ready to turn in "texture box unit template" for the Contrast Container assignment on Canvas)

Monday: Continue Texture Box Unit- have squares textured up and cut out by end of class (at least 6 but 8 is better)
Wednesday: Watch Between the Folds documentary -submit notes and respond to the following questions
- What is Origami Really as an art form? (more than just folding paper)
- How does it relate to science and engineering?
- How does the history of the art form relate to today?
- Explain the big idea behind the Bug Wars…
Friday: assemble squares into cube and reinforce joints/seams cut lid off, add lip, and clean up seams, finalize textures, sign your project (full name, class period, year)

A3 Sculpture IPA

Monday: Paper Practice Project Critique and Paper Pleating Exercise
Wednesday: Watch Between the Folds documentary -submit notes and respond to the following questions

You have until the end of next class to complete it- Ms. Schmit is expecting to see you utilize ALL time given only the same drawing.

Made artwork over the summer, or didn't get a chance to get it in the school's gallery last year? Submit it for the Pop-Up show! Due 9/15 by 2:00pm.
Get Magnet agreement signed and into Homeroom teacher if you haven't already! Individual phone calls home will start this week if not already ;-)

- Note: he set this vlog/podcast to confront toxic masculinity with some humor by sharing some very practical life skills- just keep that in mind and that they are really great tips everyone.
- Big Rocks, Gravel, Sand, and Water (how to establish a hierarchy of goals/priorities and how to fit in all of your wants too!)
- Planning your week- how to make the Big Rocks,etc happen.
