General Announcements

• Made artwork over the summer, or didn't get a chance to get it in the school's gallery last year? Submit it for the Pop-Up show! Due 9/15 by 2:00pm.
• Get Magnet agreement signed and into Homeroom teacher if you haven't already! Individual phone calls home will start this week if not already ;-)
• Get Parents/Guardians to fill out Syllabus Signing Form (syllabus is also linked in the form if you need it)

• 9/12 Tuesday: Paper Basics Practice Project full Work Day 1/2 (started last class)
• 9/14 Thursday: work day 2/2- have project done and ready to submit by last 15 minutes of class. Paper Planning Template (will be a link when it's ready)

B1 AP Art History- links will be blue when they are active and ready

• 9/11 Monday: Unit 2.2 notes (Mx. Fleet's Ms. Schmit's); complete Unit 1 Progress Check in AP Classroom; due by next class
• 9/13 Wednesday: Finish 2.2 notes and start  Unit 2.3 Notes (Mx Fleet's; Ms. Schmit's)
• 9/15 Friday: Unit 2.4 Notes (Mx. Fleet's; Ms. Schmit's); Monday will be a catch-up day for all of us ;-) 

B2 8th Grade Art- Continue Left/Right Brain Unit Template

• 9/11 Monday- Upside down drawing- intro process, tips and tricks. Any time left will be work time for drawing. Reminder- Left/Right Brain notes will need to go on Template- Links will be blue when they are ready.
• 9/13 Wednesday- Blind Contour Drawing Games. PS Upside-Down Drawing Due- can work on it more at home if needed. 
• 9/15 Friday- Grid Drawing Worksheet- Demo and work time; due at end of class.

B4 Ceramics IPA- Contrast Unit

• 9/11 Monday- Recycle clay, assign art shelve space, if time Intro Contrast Unit.
• 9/13 Wednesday- Finish Sculpture Booklet - Review Elements of Arts, advanced students research Contrast Art Concepts on their own and develop a way of presenting their findings.
• 9/15 Friday Contrast Container Requirements Review Creative process; Brainstorming Exercise For Contrast Container

Homeroom/SEL

• Monday- How to set and achieve goals- "Art of Manliness" Videos
  • Note: he set this vlog/podcast to confront toxic masculinity with some humor by sharing some very practical life skills- just keep that in mind and that they are really great tips everyone. 
  • Big Rocks, Gravel, Sand, and Water (how to establish a hierarchy of goals/priorities and how to fit in all of your wants too!)
  • Planning your week- how to make the Big Rocks,etc happen.
• Tuesday- Check Grades/Canvas, get school work done/caught up, SSR time if everything is done and grades are up.
• Wednesday- The power of 10 minutes of mindfulness video
• Thursday- "How to School" tip of the week- Ms. Schmit will be checking your grades! remember she'll step in to help you if want or if you have <75% for any class. Share recommendations for Monday/Wednesday Videos with Ms. S.
• Friday- Check Grades/Canvas, get school work done/caught up, SSR time if everything is done and grades are up. Focus Conferences with Ms. Schmit.
