If you are interested in National Art Honor Society (basically visual art's club) we will be having 2 virtual interest meetings:
  • Saturday September 11th 10am-11am-ish
  • Saturday September 18th 10am-11am-ish
  • Click here to access the zoom link- it's the same for both meetings
Welcome! Basically just look for the instructions that fit your class description the best.

ALL Advanced Visual Art People:
  • Click HERE for your Instructions, this includes 2D MMA, Ceramics, Sculpture, Metals and Fibers, Printmaking etc.
Room B117 People:
  • Click Here for your Instructions
8th Grade Art-
  • Wednesday: Go through the Auditions Instructions and take notes and start planning for your Audition Portfolio. Think about what artwork you have, some you may want to polish, and what you think could be better if you started them on your own.
  • Friday: Intro and start Pre-planning for Mandala Unit.
Ceramics Beginning- (1A and 2A)
  • Tuesday and Thursday: Start "Ceramics Basics" Unit. You'll have 2 class periods to complete the work. Just click on the link and work your way through the directions. Turn in progress images at the end of class each day this week. Be ready for an exam next week.
  • If you complete notes early: condense your information into an info-graphic. If you don't know what that is- Click HERE
Ceramics IPA-
  • Wednesday: Intro and start Pre-project planning for "Contrast Container" Unit.
  • Friday: Complete Pre-Project Planning- be ready to start using clay next class!
Metals and Fibers IPA & Sculpture IPA-
  • Tuesday/Wednesday: Start Paper Sculpting Unit and complete up through Day 1. Turn in images of your progress at end of class.
    • Extension Assignment 1: Read "Origami: How the Ancient Art of Paper Folding Evolved Over Time and Continues to Inspire", take notes and write a summary/reaction.
    • Extension assignment 2: Try out some origami you are unfamiliar with using photo copy paper until the end of class. Top 10 Origami for Beginners has some ideas that are a little more interesting that just a paper crane or a fortune teller; but feel free to look up some more interesting ones if you want.
  • Thursday/Friday: Continue Paper Sculpting unit- complete day 2 instructions. Turn in images of your progress at end of class.
