General Announcements

Fix Your Grade Day
  • All classes will do this Monday/Tuesday this week
  • If you're grade is Fixed before the end of class, work on this till the end of class:
Last Day for Late/Regrade work: Tuesday March 22 before midnight!
  • Once documents lock- they're locked and stay locked. No late work will be taken after that date/time, no exceptions.

Class Work

SEL: Students can complete the survey independently or during a live virtual and/or in-person session.
  • All students will go to: surveys.panoramaed.com/cms
  • Students will enter their access code. Their access code is their Student ID. Students will then see the surveys they need to take.
  • Students need to hit the blue “Submit” button to enter their survey. If they do not hit this, their responses will not be saved.
  • ELL Students: The online survey will be available in 10 languages.
  • Burmese, English, French, Nepali, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Somali, Spanish, Vietnamese
  • Students with IEPs: Where possible, accommodations should be made to support all students. You can find some suggestions for ensuring accessibility here, including a video with instructions for enabling text-to-speech.
  • It’s okay to read the survey questions aloud!
  • Students should answer survey questions independently without prompting or influence.
  • Teachers can explain vocabulary. If a student does not understand a question, they should skip it.
7th Grade Art
  • Movement Assignment
    • Movement Slides: Take 10 minutes and create a thumbnail sketch of each image. Goal is to try and capture the movement you see in them.
    • Google "Principle of Design Movement" and spend 10 minutes taking notes on what it is and how to create it.
    • The rest of class create a more careful drawing that demonstrates movement.
    • Unity Slides and assignment
      1. Google Definition of "Element of Art Unity" and write down definition
      2. Complete 10 Unity Thumbnail sketches (start with the ones in the Slides and then google image search for the rest)
      3. Complete a Unity Drawing - expectation is to be working on this until the end of class, not expecting it to be complete but do expect to see good quality and quantity of work for time given. Click Here for a video that shows you how to make one or you can make a design on your own.
      4. Upload images to the assignment in Canvas the last 5 minutes of class.
