This is where to find what we are doing for the week in class. Also stuff like links for notes, worksheets, and handouts will be posted here and eventually in the appropriate pages like "General Art Stuff". If any there questions or links don’t work, contact Ms. Schmit asap so she can fix them.

Dates to keep in mind...

End of Year Testing Schedule
  • M 101 will be the “main” AP mobile room so that’s where students report each morning to be assigned to their test location in the mobiles.
  • Last day for regular bell schedule 5/20 (A Days) and 5/23 (B Days)
    • All art work should be taken home by the of those days!
    • Any art work left on campus after 6/7 will be thrown away
  • Last day for late/regrade work May 27th!
  • Last day for Greenware (Ceramics) 5/5 - if it's not on in the kiln room by end of that day.
  • Last day for Glazing (Ceramics) 5/12- if not on shelf by end of the day, it won't get fired!

General Announcements

Tuesday: no school for Students (Bad weather day, make up Feb 21st)

Classwork

  • Remote Learning Tasks for Today: click here if you were absent and respond to the prompts in your own google and share with your teacher to get credit for today's assignment.
  • Last Day for Late/Regrade work: Wed. Jan 19th
  • Reviews and midterms for ALL Classes
    • If your class isn't listed below check Canvas or Google Classroom for your instructions.
    • All exams can be taken remotely.
    • Students may retake and submitted no later than 5pm Friday January 21st to allow time for finalizing end of semester grades. 
  • If you are in Mr. Raed's classes there will be a letter posted here later this week with some options for alternative assignments you can complete next term. Unt till then, your best option is to complete as much of the assignments he has posted for you in Google Classroom. 
Metals/Fiber Arts
  • Thursday- Complete Nicole Rudolf Worksheet 
  • Midterm Makeup tbd
A2 Ceramics Beginning- your midterm will be given in Canvas instead of Google Classroom- you will be able to see your score in both places though ;-)
Advanced Visual Art Sections- Click Here for your midterm instructions, start asap!
AP Art History
  • Wednesday- final review before exam
    • 3.3 Unit Lecture Slides

  • Midterm Exam 
    • Feel free to write an outline for your essay before hand. Here's the prompt:
      • "The work shown is Ecstasy of Saint Teresa, created by Gian Lorenzo Bernini c. 1647–1652 C.E. The work depicts a specific religious narrative in a way that is designed to elicit an emotional response from the viewer.Select and completely identify another work that references or depicts a specific religious narrative in a way that is designed to elicit an emotional response from the viewer."
