Week 11 11/7-11/11

General Anouncments

• Q1 Report Cards- passed out in Homeroom - last 15 minutes of 1st block.
• No school Tuesday(Teacher Work Day and Voting) or Friday (Veterans' day Holiday)
• Student Art Show is Up and Running overall - Ceramics people will have their stuff up by end of the week. We'll have a closing reception December 12th so keep an eye out for more information when we get closer to it.

Class Work

A1/A2 Ceramics Beginning
Complete the following by the end of the week

• Artwork displayed in Gallery for Student Art Show
• Turn in Coil Project 2 on Canvas and put in kiln room but keep it wrapped
• Planning for Shape Project PLANNING

A3 Sculpture IPA- Paper Project 2 Planning
Complete by the end of the week:

• Artwork displayed in Gallery for Student Art Show

• Thursday: Book Nook Project work day 7/8 (Project due by end of next class- take home to work on before if you need to get it caught up to turn in on time ;-)

B1 Metals/Fibers IPA-Big Book Project
Complete by the end of the week:

• Artwork displayed in Gallery for Student Art Show
• Turn in Big Book Project
• Self Critique of Big Book Project- use the Critique Cheat Sheet to help organize your writing/thoughts. Looking for evidence of 20 full minutes of writing. Use complete sentences, paragraph format, and proper grammar and punctuation. (hint: each section in the "Questions to Challenge your thinking" section of the cheat sheet can be a paragraph)

B2 8th Grade Art- Value Unit

• Wednesday: Start Value Packet Page 3. We'll finish it next class. Be on the look-out for a template to submit all 3 pages for the canvas assignment.

B4 Ceramics IPA- Coil Project Planning
Complete by the end of the week

• Artwork displayed in Gallery for Student Art Show
• Turn in Coil Project on Canvas and put in kiln room but keep it wrapped
• Be ready to start next unit next week.
