Look up your own stuff! Add in some level of research to your artwork and use it to inspire the creation of your own patterns. This needs to be legit research! So include your sources, describe how it's influencing your creative decisions in your notes, and needs to go into understanding the artists intent behind their work. This needs to be more than just image searching.
