2022 Reviews

Below are a bunch of review materials for all Ms. Schmit's Classes. Check the chart to see which ones you need to focus on to study for your End of Year Exam. Anything in the notes or booklets are fair game for the exams ;-)

Instructions

Exams will be given on designated exam days and made from a combination of true/false and multiple choice. Any content covered in the review materials for your class are fair game for questions.

For the Review: Use the notes provided to complete the writing and drawing activities in the booklets provided; bonus if you create a cover. If you're familiar with these books, awesome! Now you get to really show off your creativity by applying the knowledge and skills these books are reviewing. If you have more than one class working using these review books you have 2 options: make multiple sets of books OR really lean in to adding designs and expressing your creativity to one.

IF you get OVERWHELMED with the amount of content: focus on completing the writing activities first! Use any remaining time to work on the drawing activates. Expect to spend about 5 minutes per page. You can always set a timer for each page, get as far as you can and move on to the next; any remaining time you could spend finishing and polishing stuff ;-)

ALL Advanced Sections

Advanced sections have 2 options (only have to complete ONE)

1. Complete the Proficient Level End of Year Review and Exam
  • Just need to complete all of the review materials and take the exam on the exam date
2. Create and Artist Website (Due by end of Exam time, can turn in early, and just need to submit a link on Canvas Assignment when your done)
  • Feel free to add more content if you'd like but you need at least the following:
                 1. Home/Landing Page
                 2. An Arts CV or Arts Resume
                 3. Art Gallery- fill it with art projects you've made in class throughout the year and artists statement
  • BE MINDFUL OF PERSONAL INFORMATION- don't include living address or phone numbers; If you want to be contacted for commision work I recommend including only an email address (school and/or personal email whichever you will actually check regularly)
  • Here's a website that can help you get an idea of what working artists websites look like with links to website builders. Many of them are free and are super simple to navigate. They have templates you can customize and everything can be drag/drop. I use Weebly which is part of SquareSpace.
  • If you'd like help with any of it let me know and you're welcome to visit my class during SEL or Enrichment time- just need to get a note from me before school.
