Announcements

• Grades were current as of 2nd block last Friday. Check Parent/Student Square for information
• Ami Vitale National Geographic Photographer Presentation Fieldtrip 10/21
  • Check parent square for information and digital version of permission slip. 
  • Photography students were given announcement on Friday 10/10
  • We'll but will open up to other Visual Arts Students starting 10/13- look for another Parent Square announcement then. 
  • Permission slips and fee due by end of day Wed. 10/15
• Fall Student Art Showcase is coming up!
  • Submissions due Friday Oct. 24th - Must submit 1 item you’ve made in class
  • can submit up to 3 pieces (others can be anything made last 12 months that’s not been in the school art show)
  • Opening Event Thur. Oct 30th 6:30-7:30

Classwork

AP Art History - Calendar - Cards Submission Template - R.W 250 Sheet

• Mon. 10/13: Q1 Exam Review; Review worksheet, Essay Prompts. Everything up through Italian Renaissance is fair game for the exam. 
• Wed. 10/5: Q1 Exam FRQ's (essays)
• Fri. 10.17: Q1 Exam MCQ's (multiple choice)

Ceramics IPA - 3D Design - "Robot" Unit 

• Tues 10/14: "Robot 2" Work day 3/7 (reminder just need to make something out of slabs and meet all of the requirements listed in the Robot Unit under planning 2)
• Thurs. 10/16: "Robot 2" work day  4/7 - should have most of the basic shape of details blocked in by end of class. If you're getting close to "finished" or way behind check in with Ms. Schmit about how to adjust your project so you work within the time frame given for the project. 
• Next week focus on adding smaller details and refining them more

Photography IPA - Advanced Composition Unit

• Mon. 10/13: Adv. Comp Assignment Day 1/3 - make sure all images get uploaded before end of class
• Wed. 10/15: work day 2/3
• Fri. 10/17:  work day 3/3 submit assignment on canvas by end of class

Printmaking IPA - Zentangle Collagraph Project 

• Mon. 10/13: Last day for prepping main Collagraph plat for printing
• Wed. 10/15: Main Collagraph Printing day 1/2 - Sign up Form  Group/Rotation Lists
• Fri 10/17: Main Collagraphy Printing Day 2/2
