Winter Break 12/21 - 1/5 : keep working hard! You've got this! We only have 2 weeks till midterms when we get back from break.

A1/A2 Ceramics Beginning - "Free" Container Project

Monday 12/9: Container Prj. Work Day 1/5 - Have shapes made by end of class
Wednesday 12/11: Container Prj. W.D 2/5 - have shapes assembled into form
Friday 12/13: Container Project W.D 3/5 - Mass-in Details
Tuesday 12/17: Container Project 4/5 - Refine Details
Thursday 12/19: Container Project 5/5 - Create Gallery/Lip (may need to do this sooner depending on type of lid and stape you're going for) Project Due at end of class, put in kiln room wrapped up at end of class.

A3 Sculpture IPA

Monday 12/9: Paper Maquet due @ beginning of class. Action Figure Coffin Work Day 1/5 - Transfer Template to working metal and cut out by end of class.
Wednesday 12/11: Action Figure Coffin W.D 2/5 - start making Make shapes in to forms (3D)
Friday 12/13: Action figure Coffin W.D. 3/5 - Finish making Make shapes in to forms (3D)
Tuesday 12/17: Action Figure Coffin w.D 4/5 - Start refining details and adding textures
Thursday 12/19: Action Figure Coffin W.D 5/5 - Final Assembling - be ready for critique when we get back from break, can check out supplies to work on over the break.

B2 8th Grade Art - Mandala Unit - Project Example Video

Heads up- I did not get a good note from sub last Friday- Everyone should have stayed in assigned seats. I had checked everyone's project Wednesday and were fine. You don't have to have circles in your design. Re-read the assignment requirements! No one should have "started over". We will not be attending the Piano Recital during B2 next week as a consequence for the way everyone behaved as a class.
Tuesday 12/10: Mandala Graphite Check Due by end of class
Thursday 12/12: Text
Monday 12/16: Mandala Ink Check Due by end of class
Wednesday 12/18: Advanced Coloring Notes -Recreate the notes and exercises on slide 2 and turn in to Canvas Assignment. Then Start applying Advanced Monochromatic Colorwork to Mandala Project
Friday 12/20: Mandala Project Due by end of class. EVEN IF NOT "FINISHED" TURN IN ANYWAY ;-) You can take home and continue working on over the break and resubmit it when you are "done".

Monday: Start Mandal Project Day 1/5 (Ink due end of next week- we'll add advanced coloring techniques the week after)- Complete Round 1 and 2 of blocking with pencil by end of class.
Wednesdays: Mandala Project Day 2/5 - Complete pencil details by end of class
Friday: Mandal Project Day 3/5 - Complete 1st round of Inking by end of class
