Welcome back from winter break!

Class Tasks for the week

All Classes
  • Tuesday/Wednesday: Setting-up For Successful 2nd Semester
    • Go through PowerPoint. It will open if you're logged in to chrome on your school account. Click link below:
      • Setting Up for Success 
    • You'll record your responses on a Google Doc
    • Turn in a PDF of your Google Doc at the end of class for the Daily Work Assignment in canvas.
6th Grade Art
  • Friday- Continue Grid Drawing
    • Review of Grid Drawing Assignment Video
    • Grid Drawing Assignment Due End of Class 1/14 
8th Grade Art
  • Thursday-Intro to Repousse Unit
    • Get as far as you can with the ​Elements and Principles Booklet Sections (listed in the unit presentation link above) by end of class- submit images of what you get done for today's Daily Canvas Assignment. 
    • Links to all of the Elements and Principles stuff if you need them
Ceramics BIPA
  • Thursday (B)/Friday (A)- Intro Bas Relief Tile Unit
    • Beginning/Intermediate
      • Links to all of the Elements and Principles stuff if you need
    • Proficient/Advanced- start creating plans for a bas relief design and explicitly describe how you are incorporating All Elements of Art, Basic Composition knowledge, and will demonstrate Unity between the elements and your Visual Story. (you'll have 3 class periods to work on this- use time effectively!)
Sculpture IPA
  • Thursday- Intro to Repousse Unit
    • ​Repousse Research Assignment (submit in Daily Work Canvas Assignment at end of class) Time based assignment (60 minutes)
    • Assignment Instructions:
      • Research "Repousse", "Chasing", and "Metal Tooling"Create  Google Doc or Sheet to collect the following info:
        • Part 1. Collect Research Sources
          • Copy/Paste Links to resources you found
          • Take Notes
          • What topic(s) it covered
          • Review source (was it good, bad, better than another one you found, etc.)
        • Part 2. Consolidate Information to identify:
          • What are they
          • How are they similar
          • How they are different
          • Describe the technical process for each of them
